This is a little tongue in cheek study of this beautiful little creature.  Painted in gouache, pen and ink and on the wonderful Two Rivers hand made paper, it measures approx 13.5"x13.5" (34cm x 34cm).  It is framed in white with art glass.  There is a little poem written in gold, woven in the leaves, which reads:
The beauty of the seahorse,
Is the ladies, full of mirth,
Laugh all the way through mating,
Knowing the men will suffer birth.
