I'm always drawn to bright, beautiful colours and poppies are so vibrant as well as being such a poignant flower.  Painted in gouache, pen and ink and pebo (which gives the black, middle of the poppy some texture), with a pale green spattered background.  It is on acid free, Langtons watercolour paper, 140lb.  Size - H10" x W7" (25.5 x 17.8cm)  This painting is mounted in off white.
