The blue and yellow macaw (fondly known as Malcolm) has such beautiful colouring I just had to paint it.  I decided to paint the background really dark (not quite black) so the colours would really pop out of the painting, making the macaw look as if it might move.  I just love the colours in this.  H15.5" x 11.5" (29x39cm) hand painted in gouache on TwoRivers handmade, deckle edge, 300lb paper - Unframed
